I suppose it's appropriately named, anyway. Honestly, it takes all of 15 minutes to read this "book." If you glean anything from it that you hadn't already figured out from fiddling around with SharePoint on your own for five minutes, then it's worth the price. On second thought, just fiddle around with SharePoint on your own for five minutes and save the two bucks.Product details

Getting Started With SharePoint 2013 eBook Robert Crane Reviews
Nicely done, well writen and on point with the topic. The Author used his knowledge and skills to show me what I needed to know
It was fairly easy to understand and grasp the information. The Sharepoint I had was an older version so some things were different. But easy to understand and follow.
I was expecting a bit more out of this book. It was a bit too brief, and I found that I got very little benefit from it. All it does is walk you through what you would experience yourself in a SharePoint 2013 environment.
We are commencing the rewrite of a major system with stakeholders in multiple states. Signed up for Office 365 for team collaboration. Looked at the administrative tools for configuring the SharePoint site. Now what, I asked rhetorically? Didn't have a clue - nothing in the Microsoft documentation other that how simple it is. Worked my way through Robert Crane's book and applied the exercises to what wasn't there.
Now have a nice simple site with these major areas Announcements, discussion, documents, enhancement requests, and bug reports.
Now that I know how to set up the site, it is simple. Thanks Robert.
This short book contains less information about SharePoint 2013 than Microsoft's brief online tutorials. Whether your experience with SharePoint is zero or extensive, I suggest starting somewhere else.
